This is one of those rabbit hole issues that I should be ashamed to admit the more mischievous side of me is always amused by.
ReplyDeleteIf someone can actually show he's a plant, then there'll be a whole lot of explaining going on, but even if there ends up being some weird counting issue (I wonder if they use computer voting?), making a stink about a fluke election isn't going to win a lot of sympathy nationwide. The quote actually shows the potential for incedniariness, as it can easily appear to be a racial issue without a smoking gun in hand.
While the white media types may not've known who Greene was, I daresay a fair number of black communities, congregations, etc. knew exactly who was the black candidate.
